With a mix of self-deprecation and dead-eyed earnestness, he continues, βThis time, itβs a little crazier and a whole lot bigger than anything else Iβve tried before.βThe video was supposed to tease the 30-year-oldβs βcomeback,β as much as one can come back from something that never took off. After spending almost four years behind bars on charges of wire fraud, bank fraud, and lying to the authorities, he still owes more than $25 million for his Fyre fiasco, in which he scammed vendors, former employees, and stranded revelers who were left scrambling for shelter after a storm hit the Bahamian island of Great Exuma, the site of his supposed luxury music festival.Read more at The Daily Beast.
