Ever complain about the traffic and parking problems in Boca?  Ever grouse about the grotesque piles of concrete that are springing up all around us?  March 14th is your opportunity to meaningfully express your displeasure.  Why?  Because a majority of seats on Boca’s five-member City Council are up for election.  The future course of development in Boca is at stake.

BocaWatch and BocaBeautiful.org have endorsed

AL ZUCARO FOR MAYOR and

ANDREA O’ROURKE FOR SEAT B

because both favor responsible growth and development and are not funded by the big developers and their lawyers.

If you want to see an end to Boca’s building binge, you don’t even have to go to the polls on March 14th.  It is very easy to vote by mail in Boca Raton.  You can request a ballot on line if you are currently registered to vote.

  1.  Just go to the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections website, pbcelections.org, and click on “vote by mail” at the top of the site.  Then click on “vote by mail request form.”
  1.  Enter your first and last names and date of birth.  You should then see your address appear where the ballot will be mailed.
  1.  Click “submit” and you are done.

You will receive a March 14th ballot in your mailbox.  Vote for Zucaro and O’Rourke and mail it back in the envelope provided by March 14th.  You can even track the status of your vote by mail on the Supervisor of Elections website.

THERE IS NO EASIER WAY FOR YOU TO MAKE SURE THAT NO MORE MONSTER BUILDINGS EVER APPEAR ON YOUR DOORSTEP.  NO MORE CONCRETE SURPRISES.

THE DEADLINE FOR MAKING A VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT REQUEST IS MARCH 8TH.  DO IT TODAY.  AND VOTE FOR ZUCARO AND O’ROURKE AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE IT.

IN A MUNICIPAL ELECTION, EVERY VOTE IS CRITICAL, BECAUSE NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE VOTE.   DON’T BE ONE OF THOSE THAT LET THE FUTURE OF BOCA BE DETERMINED BY THE DEEP POCKETS OF THE BIG DEVELOPERS.

  1. I am extremely disappointed to learn that Boca del Mar residents are not eligible to vote in our upcoming local election.
This seem totally undemocratic as surely we are equally impacted by traffic, overbuilding and de-greening of our City.
Sorry not to be able to help support your mission.

  2. Does anyone really think that making US1 and Dixie Highway one way each will solve the mess created.
Both 4 lane roads with almost the same number or traffic lights, Haynie and Thompson say this will solve the
downtown traffic mess. Well, both do profess to be traffic experts. Ya! They must have stock in the company
that makes the wool they are trying to pull over every one’s head

    • Think about this: if the City Council has failed to create a plan in the last seven years for opening Wildflower Park, what are the chances of them creating plans to deal with the overdevelopment binge and traffic and parking problems? Yep…zero!
