On Saturday October 24, the Rotary Club of Downtown Boca Raton invited Boca’s Society crowd to their 11th Annual Boca Raton Mayors Ball black tie gala at a packed ballroom of The Boca Raton, awarding several most worthy recipients. The Rotary Club consists of a group of business, professional, and community leaders who share a passion for service, friendship, and making a difference. Bob Tucker is the tireless President who spearheaded this impressive event. Honorees included Angelo Bianco (Managing Partner of CP Group), Andrew Duffell (President of FAU Research Park), Greg Schiller (CEO of Child Rescue Coalition), and Daniel Hostettler (CEO of The Boca Raton)!
The Addison Mizner Award, awarded to Daniel Hostettler, was named after Boca’s most famous resident from many moons ago, whose contributions are immortalized with his name adorning many prominent places like Mizner Park. Daniel has spearheaded a stunning renovation of the historic property, the only resort in the country with a prestigious five-Star status from the Forbes Travel Guide. The award was hand crafted by legendary Boca artist/sculptor/jeweler Yaacov Heller, the creator of statues at the Mizner Park amphitheater, the Garden of Humanity at Royal Palm Place, etc.
The gala was attended of course by Boca Mayor Andy Thomson, as well as man other distinguished guests, including Adam Hasner, President of FAU.
