HEARTBROKEN trainer Warren Greatrex has bravely opened up on the deaths of three young workers at his yard – remembering them all as ‘great lads’. The Lambourn-based jumps trainer has had to be a father figure and counsellor for those rocked by the suicides of Michael Pitt, David Thompson and, most recently, Billy Moffatt. FacebookBilly Moffatt, who was in his early 20s when he was found dead, was the third yard worker for Warren Greatrex to take his own life in just four years[/caption] Hyde News & PicturesMichael Pitt was found dead aged 19 in the first tragedy to rock the trainer’s stables[/caption] The Lambourn-based, Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer, said he considers himself a father figure to everyone who works for him – and worrying about them rather than himself is the only way to deal with such devastating lossesRex Pitt was just 19 and a promising amateur jockey when he took his own life in July 2021. Greatrex, who had just moved to his Rhonehurst yard at the time, described the soul-crushing experience as ‘horrible’. Just seven months later, in February 2022, popular stable lad Thompson, 25, was found dead. The huge Chelsea fan, who was reported missing in the days prior, had written a letter saying the happiest days of his life had been working for Greatrex, who said the second death ‘hit me so hard’. Then in May this year, Moffatt, who was in his early 20s, was found dead in his accommodation – the third death in just four years. Greatrex, a Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer, admitted he ‘never thought’ he would have to go through such shock and pain. He told Luck on Sunday on Racing TV the passing of all three and the devastating impact on those who worked alongside them every day was still ‘raw’. And he said to know the lads you would have had absolutely no idea any were struggling to the extent they were. Explaining the magnitude of the losses and how best he tried to deal with it, an emotional Greatrex said: “I am the trainer so when I have a member of staff I am like a father figure as well. “Parents entrust you to look after their children. “I do feel responsible and all I am, and have been worried about, is everyone else. “I never thought I’d have a situation like this. “Even now it’s tough to talk about – but in the situation all you are worried about is everyone else. “None of those three lads you would have had any idea that they would do that. “All three lads were really good young men. They were funny, good to be around. “Billy was a larger-than-life Newcastle lad who touched a lot of people because he was great fun to be around. “But there aren’t any signs.” Greatrex also spoke about the stresses and strains of working in the sport and how charity Racing Welfare have helped. He said while ‘no words can describe the devastation’ of the deaths, Racing Welfare were at his yard ‘within minutes’ to offer support to those coming to terms with the losses. His words pleading for more to be done with alcohol and drugs in racing came just days after champion jockey Oisin Murphy was charged with drink-driving ahead of his appearance at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. Greatrex continued: “I think when you’re surrounded by young people there will be times when there will be drinking, there will be drug use – that’s just the way of the world now unfortunately. “Maybe there is a way that people can recognise it (drug use) and help people with what they can and can’t do, or at least guide them in the right direction. You're Not Alone EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide It doesn’t discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society – from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers. It’s the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes. And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women. Yet it’s rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now. That is why The Sun launched the You’re Not Alone campaign. The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives. Let’s all vow to ask for help when we need it, and listen out for others… You’re Not Alone. If you, or anyone you know, needs help dealing with mental health problems, the following organisations provide support: CALM, www.thecalmzone.net, 0800 585 858 Heads Together,www.headstogether.org.uk HUMEN www.wearehumen.org Mind, www.mind.org.uk, 0300 123 3393 Papyrus, www.papyrus-uk.org, 0800 068 41 41 Samaritans,www.samaritans.org, 116 123 “I always find when a member of staff comes into the yard I am responsible. “But when they leave the yard I can’t keep an eye on them and have their back or look after them all the time. “There will be times when members of staff come to speak to me or someone else senior like Tessa my wife, and of course we always do our best to help them. “But when they leave the yard I am helpless. “Still, I want them to be able to come to me. “I am a father and when my children go anywhere, or to other yards, you want them to be looked after and navigated in the right direction.” Greatrex will take part in a marathon hike in support of Racing Welfare on Sunday – donate to their cause HERE.

A SPACE capsule carrying the remains of 166 people and a bounty of cannabis plants has been lost at sea following a surprise crash. The Nyx capsule, built by German aerospace startup The Exploration Company, launched on 23 June from atop a SpaceX rocket. Getty - ContributorAll of its cargo has been lost at sea[/caption] But the rideshare mission – where several companies pay for space aboard the capsule for their payloads – has gone awry after going missing. It’s not just any payload either – but the ashes and DNA of 166 people who had signed up for a cosmic funerary service with Celestis, a Texas-based memorial spaceflight company. The flight, dubbed “Mission Possible”, achieved orbit and a controlled reentry into Earth’s atmosphere. However, the capsule’s landing parachutes failed to deploy – causing it to crash in the Pacific Ocean on 24 June. All of its cargo has been lost at sea. This was The Exploration Company’s first attempt at sending customer payloads to space, equivalent to roughly 300 kg (660 lbs) of cargo. In a statement on LinkedIn, the company wrote: “The capsule was launched successfully, powered the payloads nominally in-orbit, stabilised itself after separation with the launcher, re-entered and re-established communication after black out. “But it encountered an issue afterwards, based on our current best knowledge, and we lost communication a few minutes before splashdown. “We apologise to all our clients who entrusted us with their payloads.” The company said it is still investigating the root causes of the crash as it prepares for its next flight. “This partial success reflects both ambition and the inherent risks of innovation,” the company wrote. “Leveraging the technical milestones achieved yesterday and the lessons we will extract from our ongoing investigation, we will then prepare to re-fly as soon as possible.” Space funerary services, offered by companies like Celestis and Aura Flights, involve sending cremated remains into space.  These services offer various options, including suborbital flights, orbital flights, and even grave plots on the Moon. The Exploration Company/AnsysThe Exploration Company said it is still investigating the root causes of the crash as it prepares for its next flight[/caption] This is the second time Celestis has lost a payload. In 2023, a rocket containing the cremated remains of the late Nasa astronaut Philip K. Chapman exploded over New Mexico. Celestis also released a statement to the families of the people whose remains were lost: “In the coming days, our team will reach out to each family individually to offer support and discuss possible next steps. “Though we currently believe that we cannot return the flight capsules, we hope families will find some peace in knowing their loved ones were part of a historic journey, launched into space, orbited Earth, and are now resting in the vastness of the Pacific, akin to a traditional and honored sea scattering.” Alongside the human remains and other payloads, Nyx also carried cannabis plant matter and seeds provided by Martian Grow, an open-source citizen science project. The purpose was to study the effects of microgravity on the germination and resilience of plants. The project aims to understand how plant life could adapt on Mars. POST Malone fans were left screaming in fear at a recent gig as the music superstar fell off the stage. The genre-busting singer, 29, strutted down the walkway at his concert in Arizona with a red cup in hand. TikTok / @koty_sagePost Malone fell off the stage at a gig in Arizona[/caption] TikTok / @koty_sageHe tumbled after trying to cheers with a fan[/caption] As he reached the end of the runway he crouched down to cheers a fan who was filming the moment. However, crowd-pleaser Post’s goodwill took an unfortunate turn and as he put his foot on a flimsy block it fell away, causing him to tumble onto the floor. The incident happened as Post – real name Austin Richard Post – sang his and Blake Shelton’s hit Pour Me A Drink. The fan filming the moment uploaded the footage online and wrote, “I didn’t mean to almost break your back.” Fortunately, Post wasn’t injured and continued with the show, playing five more songs. Since the gig, Post’s personal life has made headlines. Last night TMZ reported that the singer has split from girlfriend Christy Lee, 20. The outlet claims the pair went their separate ways about a month ago, having only gone public at the start of the year following his split from ex-fiancée Hee Sung ‘Jamie’ Park. Post kept his relationship with Jamie private, aside from publicly acknowledging their engagement and the birth of their daughter in 2022. They are currently locked in a custody battle. Christy is a student at Parsons School of Design in New York, studying strategic design and management. She’s also an aspiring influencer, often posting trend-driven videos on TikTok — from what’s in my bag to fashion hauls. She went to high school in Newport Beach, California, before moving to the East Coast. Christy worked as a sales associate, hostess and social media intern at Bella Venice while living in California. Following her relocation to New York, she first found employment as a social media manager, before becoming an assistant stylist at Kristina Askerova Studio. A POPULAR crisps brand has brought back an iconic flavour which rivals an axed Walkers classic. Calbee UK has relaunched its Seabrook crinkle cut Tomato Ketchup bags to shopper fanfare. MorrisonsMorrisons is selling relaunched Seabrook Tomato Ketchup crisps[/caption] Eaters can pick up packs of six 25g bags for £1.45 in Morrisons, with each bag containing 124 calories. Shoppers can’t get enough of the returning crisps, which are similar to Walkers’ Heinz Tomato Ketchup bags, that were confirmed as re-launched in March after being axed in 2023. Shoppers can buy a pack of six of the Walkers Heinz Tomato Ketchup crisps, weighing 25g each, for £2.15 – 70p more expensive than the Seabrook multipack. Posting on Facebook about the Seabrook crisps, one said: “As a teenager I loved these, my bestie bought me a case of the loose bags for my birthday. Best crisps ever!” Another commented: “If they are the same as before they were delicious.” Meanwhile a third added: “Wahoo got one xx they taste amazing in a sandwich for the added crunch.” A fourth, posting a photo of a pack after buying one, chipped in: “Finally got myself a bag of vintage.” The Sun has asked Calbee when the limited edition crisps re-launched and how long they are on sale for and we will update this story when we have heard back. It comes just days after KP Snacks revealed it was bringing back Disco pickled onion, last seen on shelves in 2005. The tangy snack is being launched in convenience stores across the UK from August 27 with a 70g bag costing £1.35. Meanwhile, Aldi has confirmed it is bringing back “addictive” crisps in a matter of months after they were axed. Shoppers can buy the 105g bag of the Specially Selected Prawn Cocktail crisps for £1.05. OTHER ITEMS MAKING A COMEBACK Retailers often bring back nostalgic and previously discontinued items, based on customer demand and appetite. Meanwhile, White chocolate Maltesers made a grand return to shelves earlier this year after a 10-year hiatus. A 30g bag is currently available to buy in Morrisons for £1.05, while a larger 74g pouch costs £1.75. Elsewhere, Opal Fruits, which were rebranded as Starburst in 1998, are available from Sainsbury’s for £1.25. Why are products axed or recipes changed? ANALYSIS by chief consumer reporter James Flanders. Food and drinks makers have been known to tweak their recipes or axe items altogether. They often say that this is down to the changing tastes of customers. There are several reasons why this could be done. For example, government regulation, like the “sugar tax,” forces firms to change their recipes. Some manufacturers might choose to tweak ingredients to cut costs. They may opt for a cheaper alternative, especially when costs are rising to keep prices stable. For example, Tango Cherry disappeared from shelves in 2018. It has recently returned after six years away but as a sugar-free version. Fanta removed sweetener from its sugar-free alternative earlier this year. Suntory tweaked the flavour of its flagship Lucozade Original and Orange energy drinks. While the amount of sugar in every bottle remains unchanged, the supplier swapped out the sweetener aspartame for sucralose. In other retail news, Aldi is selling nostalgic childhood crisps for just 99p. Plus, Tesco shoppers are rushing to buy a stunning “reduced to clear” item scanning for 40% off. THE SON of a rarely-seen celeb called his famous mum to prove they’re related in a hilarious video. 13-year-old Aleph, left YouTube star Marlon LuGu, 23, stunned when he suddenly called his Oscar-winning mum on FaceTime. YouTubeThe son of a rarely-seen celeb called his famous mum to prove they’re related in a hilarious video[/caption] Natalie Portman, 44, usually keeps her family life private while living in Paris with Aleph and eight-year-old Amalia, who she shares with her ex-husband Benjamin Millepied, 48. While out in the French capital, Aleph approached Swedish star Marlon who was filming content, and casually dropped a surprising fact. He asked, “You know Star Wars? Padmé Amidala? Well, that’s my mom.” Then he cheekily added, “Can you give a shoutout to my mom?” To back up his claim, Aleph pulled out family photos from his phone. Marlon, clearly taken aback, asked, “That’s your mom?!” to which Aleph confidently replied, “Yeah, that’s my mom.” Taking full advantage of the moment, Marlon asked Aleph to call Natalie herself. Moments later, the actress appeared on screen as Aleph said, “Mom, do you want to say hi to Marlon?” Natalie, who was getting her hair done at the time, greeted the YouTuber warmly: “Hi, I’m sorry for disturbing you, I just want to say hi real quick.” Marlon replied, “Nice to meet you,” adding, “I’m here with your son real quick, we’re about to play a little football.” Natalie wished them well despite not being able to hear much, saying, “But I hope you’re having a great day.” After some small talk, she said goodbye with a friendly, “Have a good one.” Sharing the story with his 395,000 subscribers, Marlon admitted he was blown away. “When I was growing up and watched Star Wars really heavily, she was my biggest crush,” he said. “Very beautiful woman. Very good son. I just want to respectfully say that. That’s insane.” Natalie, who has lived in Paris since 2014, divorced Benjamin Millepied after 11 years of marriage in 2024. She met Benjamin — a dancer and director — on the set of 2010 film Black Swan. He choreographed the ballet-themed movie, for which Natalie won a Best Actress Oscar. The couple married in 2012 and have two kids. Israel-born American actress Natalie filed for divorce in 2023, and it was finalised earlier this year in France, where the couple lived together. And Natalie, who made her acting debut aged 12 in Leon, revealed this year that Rihanna shared some kind words to help her through her divorce. The Star Wars actress met the 36-year-old for the first time at Paris Fashion Week in January and, after fangirling together, the singer told Natalie something that created a “formative moment.” In the clip, caught on camera, Natalie, 43, told Rihanna, “I love you” who in return, received the reply, “I am a f**king fan.” The Black Swan star continued, “I’m gonna faint. I’m gonna black out. “I love you and I listen to your music all the time… You’re just such a queen. Thank you,” Natalie continued to praise the Fenty founder. On Monday, Natalie told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that Rihanna had called her “one of the hottest b****** in Hollywood. “I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she’s a bad b****,” she said. Jimmy then got to his feet and gave her loud applause. After they showed the clip of her with Rihanna, Natalie said, “It was exactly what I needed. “It was a formative moment in my life,” she added. A MUM has come under fire for raising ”brats” after she revealed she didn’t send her kids to school as the heat was ”unbearable”. Mother-of-three Jade was slammed after confessing her kids stayed at home at the start of this week, when temperatures across the UK soared to 35C. TIKTOK/@jades.mum.lifeMum-of-three Jade came under fire after she told social media users her boys stayed at home during the hottest day of the year so far[/caption] TIKTOK/@jades.mum.lifeShe claimed her children had fainted before when it’s been too hot[/caption] During what’s been the hottest day of the year so far, Jade said that while her opinion was ”unpopular”, the weather was simply ”unbearable”. Although even Jade’s friends have dubbed her ”too soft” for letting her three boys stay at home, her kids have allegedly suffered from the heatwave before. Explaining herself, Jade said: ”Some schools still don’t let the children have their water bottles on the table, so they’re not going to be keeping hydrated. ”There is one fan – sometimes no fans – in the whole classroom. ”And twice now I’ve been called up by the school during the summer heatwave period where my children have gone faint because they’re that hot.” According to the mum, who’s since garnered a mixed bag of responses, there are 30 children in each classroom. ”I don’t think it’s unreasonable but I’m being called soft. ”I don’t think that’s soft – I think that’s smart.” According to the GOV UK guidance, schools are typically not advised to close for the day when it’s hot. They stated: ”This is because school attendance is the best way for pupils to learn and reach their potential, and hot weather can usually be managed safely.  ”School leaders should make sure they take any steps necessary to make sure children are safe and comfortable.” When it comes to clothing, ”schools could consider relaxing uniform rules during hot weather to make sure pupils are comfortable”. The experts advise that children should ”wear loose, light-coloured clothing to help keep cool and sunhats with wide brims”. Teachers should also encourage children to take off their blazers and jumpers.   How to keep cool in hot weather Most of us welcome hot weather, but when it's too hot, there are health risks. Here are three ways to keep cool according to the NHS... Keep out of the heat if you can. If you have to go outside, stay in the shade especially between 11am and 3pm, wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter. Cool yourself down. Have cold food and drinks, avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks, and have a cool shower or put cool water on your skin or clothes. Keep your living space cool. Close windows during the day and open them at night when the temperature outside has gone down. Electric fans can help if the temperature is below 35 degrees. Check the temperature of rooms, especially where people at higher risk live and sleep. When outdoors, children should be encouraged to stay in the shade as much as possible.   Sunscreen with high sun protection factors should be used to protect skin.  Uploaded less than 24 hours ago, the video, posted under the username @jades.mum.life, has already taken the internet by storm. Amassing Jade close to 82k views and almost 2,000 likes, the clip has also sparked a fierce debate, with many disagreeing with the mum’s approach. ‘Parents are way too soft’ One critic said: ”Reasons like this should be why we get fined.” Someone else thought: ”Parents are way too soft on their kids nowadays, that’s why we’ve got a bunch of brats roaming the street with knives and no respect.” A third chimed in: ”Any excuse to keep them off school these days.” ”Personally I think we’re snowflake generation, we all went to school when we had heatwaves no fans just got on with it!” a viewer added. Meanwhile, a supportive viewer hit back at the critics, saying: ”This is not a BIT of heat. It’s unbearable. ”You were able to keep them off and I think you were right to do so.” A fellow mum shared her opinion, writing: ”My daughter got heatstroke, no laughing matter, you did good keeping them off.” ”As a TA, with no air conditioning, you made the right decision, no learning happened today. The children were too uncomfortable to concentrate and so were the adults,” a teacher’s assistant chimed in.

THE global shock was seismic. As was the embarrassment to the Premier League’s pretensions of superiority. GettyPep Guardiola was left scratching his head after the Club World Cup exit[/caption] GettyThe Cityzens were shocked as they lost to Saudi outfit Al-Hilal[/caption] But the bigger price of Manchester City’s humiliating Club World Cup exit at the hands of Saudi outfit Al-Hilal may only start to be paid in six weeks’ time. Pep Guardiola and his squad of superstars were left licking their wounds, physical and mental, in Orlando. Forget the claims that Fifa’s latest bauble is a Mickey Mouse competition – losing to a collection of Prem discards and unknowns will be a kick in the proverbials. Forget Fifa President Gianni Infantino’s claim that “the new era of club football has definitely started”. WATCH EVERY MATCH OF THE CLUB WORLD CUP 2025 LIVE ON DAZN He would say that, wouldn’t he? But the reality is that, as far as City were concerned, this was supposed to be a showcase for their rebirth, not a public dunking. After all, remember, it was only a month ago that City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak talked up the tournament, vowing: “This is a very, very serious competition. The whole world will be watching this. “We’re going to give it our best shot. We’re going there to win it.” JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS So much for that. A disappointment all the greater for the club’s Abu Dhabi owners given the nationality of their conquerors. And while the failure to get beyond the last 16 comes with a £37m consolation prize in terms of City’s cash windfall they will be back home as Chelsea carry the Prem flag into the latter stages, the Blues’ own path to New York opened up as City are no longer their prospective semi-final opponents. Yet the more serious cost may be to Guardiola’s plans for the new season which opens next month – and potentially a pressing need for MORE spending. In that end-of-season review from Abu Dhabi, Khaldoon spoke about the players City had signed in January, talking about the changes as a “regeneration” – one that continued through to the eve of their departure to the USA. That unprecedented-by-City’s-standards winter window saw the arrivals of Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez, while the post-season splurge brought Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cheki and Tijjani Reijnders. The combined outlay: £281m and counting. AlamyCity have bought out over a quarter of a billion on new talent in the last six months[/caption] AlamyBut they could not get the job done against the Saudi team[/caption] Yet while Egyptian striker Marmoush hit the ground running, with seven Prem goals after his arrival from Frankfurt, it is hard to claim any of the other January signings really stood out. Cherki did score in the Club World Cup, yet only started the opener against Wydad Casablanca, and Ait-Nouri and Reijnders made more encouraging openings to their City career. But Ait-Nouri and Reijnders were the only two of the seven trusted to start against Al-Hilal, as Guardiola put more kilometres on the straining limbs of 34-year-old Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva, 30. Reis did not feature after the Wydad game while Gonzalez played an hour against no-hopers Al-Ain. The demands of a long season, plus the extra five and a half weeks – and 11,000 extra air miles – will take their toll, especially with City now having a shortened summer break before they have to step up preparation for their season opener at Wolves on August 16. City fans believe that it will all be different next season with the return to full fitness of Rodri. In the absence of the Spanish midfield lynchpin, Guardiola’s side were all at sea, far too often last term. But last night in Orlando, with Rodri – admittedly still working his way back after that long lay-off – on just eight minutes into the second half, it was a familiar tale. City creating chances, lots of them, but not taking enough. Across the 120 minutes, they had 30 shots, 16 of which were on target, repelled by Morocco’s 2022 World Cup keeper hero Yassine Bounou. Yet just as so often last term, horribly, horribly vulnerable on turnovers, caught cold at the back, a mess in front of Ederson. Guardiola will hope, with his fingers firmly crossed, that it was part tiredness, part a lack of real desire for a tournament that only existed in the imagination of Infantino until three years ago, part bad luck. But physically and mentally, City’s players will turn up for the start of next season still carrying the baggage of the season that only ended in the early hours of Tuesday morning. And without the guiding light of the departed Kevin de Bruyne, too. You can bet your bottom dollar that Arne Slot and Mikel Arteta, in particular, are absolutely delighted. PRINCESS Eugenie was the picture of elegance at Royal Ascot, despite the sweltering heat. The woman behind her glowing and radiant appearance is society nutritionist Gabriela Peacock, who also counts Princess Beatrice, Jodie Kidd and Billie Piper, among her A-list clients. GettyPrincess Eugenie looked sensational at Royal Ascot[/caption] PAPrincess Eugenie turned heads in a striking red outfit on day five of Royal Ascot[/caption] GettyThe royal mum-of-two looked radiant for the famous racing event[/caption] GettyPrincess Eugenie in 2019[/caption] 2016 David M. BenettGabriela is the go-to for nutrition for the York sisters[/caption] Fans were quick to comment on the royal’s impeccable Ascot looks, with one saying: “Princess Eugenie looks so lovely”, and another added: “Absolutely beautiful.” With summer upon us, many people want to look and feel their best for the beach, weddings or holidays.  Gabriela has revealed there are some easy steps everyone from royalty to the public can take to achieve this.  Gabriela, 45, who is godmother to Beatrice’s three-year-old daughter Sienna, told Fabulous: “As a nutritionist working with everyone from royalty to red carpet regulars, my philosophy is all about realistic wellness.  “That means supporting your skin, energy, and mood through smart nutrition, simple lifestyle tweaks, and a little science-backed supplementation.  “No crash diets, no overtraining — just small changes that create long-term glow. “Here’s how I help my clients achieve their ultimate summer glow-up — and how you can too…” 1. NUTRITION Gabriela shared an example summer menu which will help you feel your best… Breakfast Glow Bowl: Try Greek yoghurt or kefir with mixed berries (especially blueberries + strawberries), a tablespoon of chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and a drizzle of manuka honey. Gabriela explained: “Why? Antioxidants for skin protection, probiotics for gut health, and omega-3s for a dewy, hydrated glow. “Hydrating foods such as watermelon, cucumbers and coconut water is the way to really help support the skin health to keep it plump and moisturised.” Lunch Salmon & Avocado Salad: Grilled salmon on a bed of spinach, rocket, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and a lemon-olive oil dressing. The nutritionist explained: “This is rich in collagen-boosting protein, healthy fats, and vitamin C for skin elasticity and radiance.” Dinner Grilled Chicken with Quinoa & Roasted Veg: Courgette, peppers, and carrots with garlic and turmeric. She added: “This has lean protein for hair and nail health, fibre for detoxification, and turmeric to reduce inflammation.” GettyPrincess Beatrice also looked radiant at the famous racecourse this month[/caption] Shutterstock EditorialGabriela advised adding collagen-boosting salmon into your diet[/caption] 2. FOOD TO AVOID It can be hard to turn down sweet treats in hot weather, but Gabriela said if possible you should avoid excess sugar during the summer. She explained: “It can contribute to dull skin and breakouts particularly when the weather is hotter like it is now.” Too much caffeine was also a no go as this can “really dehydrate the skin and as a result reduce that glowy dewy skin.” And finally highly processed foods should be ditched as they are often “low in nutrients and high in inflammatory oils.” GettyA-list nutritionist Gabriela Peacock, who has worked with Princess Beatrice, shared how you can get a royal glow-up this summer[/caption] 3. UNPLUG FROM STRESS Feeling good and looking good go hand in hand and Gabriela said she advises her royal clients to make it a priority to unplug from screens where possible. She explained: “Get outside every day, even if it’s just for 10 minutes, and stick to a regular sleep routine.  “These simple habits help regulate your nervous system, which in turn supports everything from hormone balance to skin clarity.  “Stress can easily show up on your face, whether through dullness, breakouts or sensitivity, so I always encourage my clients to create space in their day for proper rest and mental recovery. “Whether it’s reading, meditating, or just having a quiet cup of tea, finding moments of peace amidst the chaos is essential for glowing-up.” GettyGabriela has also worked with model Jodie Kidd[/caption] 4. ADD SALT TO WATER Most people underestimate how quickly dehydration can affect their energy, skin and focus – but it can be easy to fix. Gabriela shared: “My trick is to add a pinch of sea salt or electrolytes to my water for better absorption.  “Electrolyte sachets are super convenient to travel with too. I also switch out one coffee for herbal tea or fruit-infused water. Small changes, big difference.” 5. PICK FUN FITNESS You don’t need to spend hours in the gym to feel fit and strong, according to the royal nutritionist.  She shared: “I always recommend my clients to opt for a physical activity that they enjoy, so that it doesn’t feel like a chore or punishment.  “Whether that’s Pilates, yoga, strength training or a brisk walk – keep it short and effective.  “The goal is consistency, not exhaustion.  “It’s also so hot in London at the moment so anything quick, easy and light you can do is enough! “I try to walk after meals, take the stairs when I can, stretch while watching TV, or even use small hand weights when sat in long car journeys.” 6. TAKE SUPPLEMENTS Gabriela advised boosting your health with supplements like RadiantMe – which is a daily sachet formulated to support healthy skin, energy and vitality. She shared: “It supports healthy skin, hair, and nails, and is such a simple way to get those essential skin-loving vitamins and minerals in one quick daily drink. “It’s my secret weapon for staying consistent when life is full on – plus it tastes amazing too!” Royal-favourite nutritionist Gabriela Peacock shares tips for getting 'beach ready' in a week 1. Hydrate strategically 2. Cut Back on Sodium 3. Increase Protein Intake 4. Choose Complex Carbs 5. Prioritise Fibre 6. Snack Smartly 7. Watch Portion Sizes 8. Limit Liquid Calories 9. Torrential rain caused the waterway to break its banks, unleashing a violent flood across the region. Rescuers are seen looking on helplessly as entire streets are submerged in the muddy floodwaters. Residents were warned by the mayor to stay in their homes and avoid driving. Franco was killed in Bardonecchia – a resort town 56 miles west of Turin, which hosted snowboarding events during the 2006 Winter Olympics. Firefighters rescued at least 10 people trapped in buildings by the floods, along with a few people stuck in their cars, local media reported. Alberto Cirio, President of the Piedmont Region, said on social media: “Today a water bomb hit the town of Bardonecchia suddenly, causing damage and unfortunately a victim.” He added: “We are increasingly faced with emergency situations due to weather events that we used to call exceptional but are now more and more frequent.” A similar disaster struck Bardonecchia in 2023 after heavy rains caused two streams – including the Frejus – to overflow. Although a major landslide swept away cars and debris, no fatalities were reported. The heavy rains in northwestern Italy come as extreme weather has gripped much of Europe – from thunderstorms in the continent’s central countries to scorching heat in the Mediterranean. In France, at least two people – including a child – died after a violent storm caused flash floods in Paris last week. According to Lightning Maps, a weather-tracking website, more than 39,000 lightning strikes were recorded across France. Over 100,000 homes were left in the dark after power lines were ripped down and metro stations were turned into indoor rivers. Lightning strikes also caused fires, including one at a horse farm in Keltern, German Bavarian newspaper Münchner Merkur reports. In Austria, a supercell storm whipped through towns, shattering windows, flooding streets and causing nearly £8m worth of damage to agriculture. The hardest-hit regions were reportedly Styria, Tyrol, and Lower Austria. Meanwhile, Greece, Spain and Italy are in the grip of a heatwave, with temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Wildfires raged for three days on the Greek island of Chios last week – before being brought under control on Thursday. Another wildfire broke out that same day on coastal area of Palaia Fokaia, south of Athens. In Italy, a motorway had to be closed on Thursday after temperatures caused roads to melt, local media reported. A freak build-up of heat in the North Atlantic is believed to be driving the unusually high temperatures sweeping across Europe – well above the seasonal average. Scientists say that climate change is fuelling extreme weather events. EPAWildfires raged for three days on the Greek island of Chios[/caption]

DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN is looking for a ‘new challenge’ after leaving Everton. And judging by the list of top names that head the betting to be his next destination, that challenge would excited many a Premier League player. Manchester United, Newcastle, Arsenal and Celtic are all in the top half dozen club in the next club market, with Ruben Amorim’s side the current favourites to snap him up. The 28-year-old leaves Everton on a free after NINE years at the club and penned an emotional farewell to Toffees fans. He made 273 appearances for the club in all competitions and scored 71 goals. His performances at Goodison also earned him 11 England caps, where he scored an impressive four goals. Later on in his Everton career was hampered by injuries, which affected his playing time and last season he fell out of favour with manager David Moyes, who preferred Beto in the lone striker role. Dominic Calvert-Lewin next club bet365 odds Man Utd 6/1 Newcastle 7/1 West Ham 7/1 Arsenal 9/1 Aston Villa 10/1 Besiktas 12/1 Celtic 12/1 Nottm Forest 12/1 Brighton 12/1 Milan 12/1 14/1 bar So after several transfer windows littered with speculation, it’s onto pastures new and a host of huge clubs head the betting to be his next club. United currently lead the way as the 6/1 frontrunners to sign Calvert-Lewin, as they look to add more firepower to the Matheus Cunha signing earlier in the window. DCL has been strongly linked with Newcastle for several years now and they’re next at 7/1, alongside West Ham who themselves are in the market for a new number nine. Arsenal are again desperate to sign a goal-scoring, world class centre forward that will eventually fire them to some sort of glory and they’re 9/1, with Aston Villa 10/1. A move up north to Celtic is then 12/1, the same price Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Besiktas. A DOG home boss is suing for more than £200,000 after being savaged by a rescued American Bulldog in a violent attack at a rehoming centre. Karla Haines, 34, says she was left traumatised and permanently scarred after the Bulldog , named Jester, suddenly latched onto her arm and wouldn’t let go during an incident at a Dogs Trust rehoming centre. She had been called in to help deal with the misbehaving rescue dog when the shocking attack happened on 3 July 2021. Despite requesting that the dog be put on a lead, court papers say Jester – described as a “fierce and mischievous” American Bulldog cross – sank its teeth into her right arm, causing multiple puncture wounds and lasting nerve damage. Ms Haines, who holds a degree in animal behaviour and welfare, says the injuries have left her with long-term sensitivity in her arm and PTSD-like symptoms, including anxiety and flashbacks. She is now taking legal action against her former employer, claiming Dogs Trust failed to properly manage and restrain the aggressive animal, despite being aware of the risks. Her lawyers argue the dog should have been kept in a secure area or tied to a fixed lead point to prevent attacks on staff. The Harefield centre, which is set in 16 acres of countryside, houses up to 150 dogs at a time in swanky kennels fitted with underfloor heating, exercise paddocks and a sensory garden. But behind the scenes, Ms Haines alleges that safety protocols were not followed — and that she was effectively exposed to danger in the line of duty. Court documents state: “The dog is and was of a fierce and mischievous disposition and/or was likely, unless restrained, to bite anyone on the defendant’s premises or to cause severe injury when defending what it regarded as its own territory.” Although Dogs Trust has admitted a breach of duty through its insurers, the charity disputes the full amount of damages being claimed and says the extent of Ms Haines’ injuries are “not admitted”. The Trust also insists that Ms Haines was on Jester’s “safe list” — a group of approved staff members considered capable of handling the animal without issue. In a legal response, their solicitor Chrissie Paphitis said: “It is averred that Jester had been placed on a lead prior to the claimant entering the compound. “It is admitted that Jester nevertheless grabbed onto the claimant’s arm and bit her.” But she added: “No admissions are made in respect of causation, and the claimant is put to strict proof in relation to any and all allegations of loss and damage.” Which dog breeds are banned in the UK? THERE are specific regulations in place that prohibit certain dog breeds from being owned or bred in the UK. So what are the illegal dogs in the UK and why are they illegal? Here’s what we know. Which dog breeds are illegal in the UK? People tend to think of large, vicious dogs when they imagine being bitten by one. But the truth is that many types of dogs are known to bite humans, whether provoked or not. However, it’s important to remember that just because a breed tends to bite humans, that doesn’t mean that they all do. British law determines five breeds of dog are illegal to own, breed, sell or give away. These are an XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro. Ms Haines’ legal team originally valued the claim at around £60,000, but this has since ballooned to more than £200,000 as the extent of her physical and psychological injuries became clearer. A judge at a brief pre-trial hearing earlier this month confirmed the full trial will go ahead unless a settlement is reached before then. It’s understood the case is being closely watched by other animal welfare professionals, who say it raises serious concerns about staff safety when working with rescue dogs that may have violent histories. Dogs Trust, which was founded in 1891, is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and rehomes thousands of dogs each year. It has not commented publicly on the legal claim. The court will now decide whether Ms Haines is entitled to the full amount she’s seeking — or whether the payout will be reduced. AMY Lynn Bradley was on a cruise with her parents and brother in March 1998, before she vanished without a trace. Here’s everything we know about Amy and her disappearance, which are featured in a new true crime documentary. FBIAmy Lynn Bradley, 23, vanished from a cruise ship[/caption] FBIAmy was celebrating graduating and her new job with her mum, dad and brother[/caption] Who is Amy Bradley? Amy Lynn Bradley is a woman from Petersburg, Virginia, who disappeared in March 1998 while she was on a cruise with her family. She was 23 years old at the time. Amy grew up in Chesterfield County and attended Longwood University on a basketball scholarship, graduating with a degree in physical education. She was known for her athleticism, having also worked as a lifeguard. Amy’s family was described as being close-knit — her parents and brother joined her on the cruise to celebrate her graduation and new job at a computer consulting firm. What happened? On March 21, 1998, Amy boarded the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas with her parents Ron and Iva, and her younger brother Brad, for a vacation to Curaçao. The journey started in the tropical paradise of Puerto Rico, stopping first in Aruba — but things took a sinister turn just three days later. On the night of March 23, Amy and Brad spent time dancing at the ship’s nightclub, socializing with other passengers and members of the ship’s band. Amy was last sighted asleep in the early hours of the morning on March 24. At 5.30 am, she was spotted asleep on a chair in her private balcony —but half an hour later, her dad Ron couldn’t find her. The Royal Caribbean crew searched every inch of the vessel, but Amy was nowhere to be found, despite having a host of distinctive tattoos including the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes, a Chinese symbol, a sun and a gecko, as well as a belly button piercing. Despite her disappearance, the vessel continued its journey to St Martin, and then travelled to St Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. Despite a four-day search by the Netherlands Antilles Coast Guard and subsequent FBI involvement, Amy was never found. Over the years, there have been multiple reported sightings of Amy in the Caribbean, including a woman matching her description seen on a beach. A US Navy sailor also claimed a woman in a brothel identified herself as Amy and asked for help. Theories about her fate have ranged from accidental overboard fall to abduction and human trafficking — but no definitive evidence has ever emerged. But seven years later in 2005, the Bradleys received a chilling tip-off — images indicating Amy may have been sex trafficked. The haunting images, publicly revealed on Dr Phil, showed a woman strongly resembling the 23-year-old, scantily-clad and posing uncomfortably in lingerie. What have authorities said? The authorities have kept Amy’s case open for well over two decades. The FBI initially investigated the possibility that she had fallen overboard, but her family questioned this theory, citing her strong swimming ability and the lack of evidence. American authorities asked anyone with leads on the case to come forward with answers, offering a reward of $25,000. Despite periodic leads and reported sightings, authorities have not located Amy, with the case remaining unsolved. Anyone with information should contact their local FBI office, nearest American Embassy or Consulate. Netflix’s Amy Bradley Is Missing The sad story of Amy Bradley’s disappearance is the focus of a new three-part true crime documentary. The series features interviews with Amy’s family, eyewitnesses from the cruise and investigators. It explores the events leading up to her disappearance and the decades-long search for answers. The documentary aims to shed new light on the case and provide a comprehensive account of the haunting unsolved mystery. Amy Bradley is Missing drops on Netflix on July 16, 2025.

CHARLOTTE LESCOTT held her four-month-old baby as she watched her partner Ali jump onto a jet-ski and wave him off. But just moments later, the mum watched as the love of her life was instantly killed in a collision with the jet-ski instructor in Dubai. OnewayoramotherCharlotte Lescott opened up about the fateful day and her last words to her partner[/caption] Charlotte and Ali pictured together before tragedy struckTikTok/@charllescott GettyThe Palm Island in Dubai where Ali’s tragic accident took place[/caption] Charlotte clutched her baby in horror as she witnessed the crash from the boat – it was the last time she would see Ali alive. Now the mum of Soulie has opened up about the traumatic ‘freak accident.’ Speaking on the One Way or a Mother podcast, Charlotte said: “The instructor and Ali just collided, it was a freak accident.” While the instructor survived the ordeal, Ali was killed on impact as he made his way back to the boat and to Charlotte and his daughter. The horrific accident took place close to the famous tree-shaped Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai. At first, Charlotte assumed he had broken a leg but realised it was fatal when a friend told her to sit down. “What I saw with my eyes was absolutely traumatising,” she explained. The trauma of the incident left Charlotte believing it couldn’t be Ali who she had seen in the accident she recalled. But reality sunk in when her friend came over and told Charlotte to sit down. “I just knew. I knew at that point,” she said. The pair had moved to Dubai in 2020, and Charlotte recalls that the fateful day started like any other. “That’s what’s so crazy is, like, we woke up that morning and it was just supposed to be a normal family day out,” she explained on the Topic Tuesdays podcast. “Going on a boat, you wouldn’t think anything of it.” Charlotte stayed on the boat with their daughter Soulie while Ali went off with some friends on the jet-skis. The mum revealed that day was ‘lovely’ and she saw Ali off onto the jet-ski and waited for him to come back to the boat, as she wasn’t the biggest fan of the water activity. There are no words to explain that feeling of going to bed without him there. Charlotte Lescott “And then the last words that I said to Ali was just ‘be safe, love you,’ that was it,” she added. “That was the last words I’ve ever said to him.” She recalls police being called to the scene, who asked Charlotte to come to the station, but she was so traumatised she begged them to let her go home. “When I did, I went to bed, I went to bed without him there,” she said. “That’s something I can never explain, there are no words to explain that feeling of going to bed without him there, knowing what happened.” With a four-month-old child and thousands of miles away from home, Charlotte went on autopilot to keep herself going for her daughter. “If I didn’t have her, I think it would have been a lot worse,” she said. “I wouldn’t have anything to pull me through.” Now, Charlotte and her daughter, who is almost five, share their life and journey through grief on social media to help others. It comes after a Brit holidaying in Spain‘s Costa del Sol was also recently killed in a jet-ski accident.  43-year-old Debra Wright was riding a jet-ski when a speedboat crashed into her. Spanish cops arrested a man described as a friend of the victim after the accident on Saturday night.
