U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., says the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in shows the federal government acts like the Gestapo, the notorious secret police in Nazi Germany. Scott: “It’s like what we have thought about the Gestapo and people like that, that they just go after people.” U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the first Jewish woman elected to Congress from Florida, condemned Scott’s comment. “Jews never stood a chance against Hitler’s Gestapo police. What a dumb, disgraceful, insensitive and dangerous thing to say.”
